Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, Florida, has served the citizens of Manatee, Sarasota and surrounding counties for 70 years. Part of the Manatee Healthcare System, the hospital has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval. The 319-bed hospital with over 550 physicians, residents and allied health professionals, offers advanced healthcare services in a caring and compassionate environment. Services include cardiac care and cardiovascular medicine, emergency care for all ages, surgery services — including robotic-assisted surgery with the da Vinci® Surgical System, a weight–loss program, orthopedic services, outpatient and inpatient radiology and rehabilitation, respiratory care, sleep, oncology, wound care and women’s and children’s services. Manatee Memorial Hospital offers a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for babies with special needs and has the only Pediatric Center in Manatee County.

Manatee Memorial Hospital is seeking a Registered Dietitian at Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, FL. The campus is located in the heart of Bradenton, minutes away from the Florida Gulf Coast Line.

The ideal candidate will report to the CNM and:

• Be licensed in the state of Florida
• Be a Registered Dietitian
• Be responsible for patient care
• Complete projects as needed and have community involvement
• Work closely in a multidisciplinary team setting
• Have excellent communication skills
• Includes rotating weekends and holidays

Position Summary

Responsible for providing direct basic nutrition services

Key Duties

• Provides nutrition care to population served to ensure needs and customer satisfaction levels are met.
• Manages, promotes, and educates others on food and nutrition programs according to Manatee Memorial Hospital standards and policy.
• Collaborates and communicates with culinary and clinical departments on established processes, special diets, and menu requests and probes potential problems and apprises manager of status on resolution of problems or issues, using appropriate Manatee Memorial Hospital resource when necessary.
• Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local regulations as well as Manatee Memorial Hospital/client policies and procedures (e.g. Health Dept., HIPAA/Privacy Act, Joint Commission, quality assurance, safety, operations, and personnel) by keep abreast of the most recent nutrition-related trends, research, policy, certifications, and standards of practice.
• Follows operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to other departments.

Basic Qualifications and Requirements

• Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree
• Basic Functional Experience - Meets eligibility requirements for certification as a Registered Dietitian
