: Greater Rochester Habitat for Humanity is seeking a highly independent, results-oriented Procurement and Warehouse Manager to oversee our construction warehouse, procure construction materials, arrange material delivery to warehouse and build sites, and coordinate sub-contractors. GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION: The Procurement and Warehouse Manager for Greater Rochester Habitat for Humanity (GRHFH) will oversee the procurement, coordination, scheduling, and management of construction material and subcontractors to support the field staff. This person will also serve as an ambassador for the mission of Habitat for Humanity by demonstrating the core values of integrity, respect, teamwork, and continuous improvement. The individual is responsible for proper adherence to GRHFH purchasing policies and procedures.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Procurement and Inventory Control:
- Develop relationships with key suppliers to improve availability and reduce the total cost of materials.
- Construction material ordering and coordination for all job sites.
- Implement an organized warehouse layout and tracking system and improve over time.
- Enhance and improve GRHFH construction materials control system.
- Maintain overall inventory levels utilizing Just in Time methodology.
- Ensure materials and resources are accounted for and used effectively.
- Manage all supply chains.
- Ensure construction sites have all necessary materials for each build day.
- Follow construction schedules and alert any obstacles or issues that may interfere with the plan.
- Maintain inventory accuracy.
- Ensure completion and timely reporting of all relevant paperwork, including accurate accounting of materials.
- Perform material cost analyses.
Warehouse Management:
- Receive deliveries, perform stocking functions, disburse materials, manage inventory.
- Ensure the warehouse is free of potential hazards and risks and meets or exceeds all OSHA requirements.
- Ensure warehouse, materials, and tools are secure from theft.
- Lead volunteer teams in warehouse management and material distribution.
Construction Coordination:
- Help maintain scope of work, budget, and timeline for each building project.
- Solve problems efficiently to maintain forward progress on complicated projects.
- Identify and document issues and opportunities and communicate with Construction Director.
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- New building products/best practices research.
- Assist in special projects (special event days, annual fundraising events etc. as required).
- Build community relationships with vendors, volunteers, and homeowners.
- Share knowledge and best practices for continual improvement of operations.
- Work collaboratively in a team environment with other construction personnel.
- Execute other duties as directed.

Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2 years' work experience in the construction field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in supplier development.
- Thorough knowledge of construction materials, methods, and safety protocols.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences (donors, volunteers, subcontractors, staff, and homeowners).
- Excellent organizational and anticipatory skills and personally act on same as need arises.
- Working knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to safely handle residential construction power tools.
- Ability to safely operate a construction vehicle (pickup truck or similar).
- Current CPR/First aid certification preferred (offered)
- Current Forklift Certification preferred (offered)
- Valid and insurable NYS driver's license required
- Previous Habitat for Humanity or similar experience is a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work outdoors on active construction sites in all weather conditions and in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to regularly move material of 10-35 pounds across even and uneven surfaces using appropriate lifting/carrying equipment; occasionally move material of 75+ pounds.
