This role will manage the ICW corporate-wide instance of JIRA and related Atlassian tool suite in collaboration with our technology delivery teams. The
JIRA Systems administrator provides configuration, maintenance, end user support, and project related activities associated with the application tool suite.
WHAT YOU WILL DO Administers, maintains, and upgrades computing systems.
- Deploys and installs new software releases and system upgrades.
- Evaluates and installs patches, and resolves software related problems.
- Maintains and monitors system configuration.
- Implements and maintains Configuration Management practices and documentation for all hardware, operating systems and application software.
- Administers and monitors system performance, configuration, maintenance, and repair on a daily basis.
- Creates backup and recovery plans using the business/systems impact assessment for emergency recovery purposes.
Provides technical guidance to team members on systems issues.
- Provides training to team members.
- Facilitates problem solving and pro-actively escalates issues to the Manager.
- Acts as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for administration, backup storage, and VMWare infrastructures.
- Participates in system related activities to meet all business requirements.
- Implements and administers Windows, Linux, VMWare hosts, and storage infrastructure.
Troubleshoots and supports internal teams.
- Provides 2nd and 3rd Tier technical support and problem resolution.
- Maintains system documentation.
- Applies revisions to host system firmware and software.
- Partners with business and other IT teams to implement a systems business impact assessment.
- Maintains a systems business impact assessment to be used for emergency recovery purposes.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university preferred with a major or emphasis in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.Minimum 7 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS JIRA Projects for Cloud Certification preferred. Agile Scrum Master certification preferred.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS - Experience with Jira SaaS and has 7+ years of Jira Admin experience.
- Understanding of Web Technologies (Cloud/Amazon Web Services, Jira, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, Java)
- Configuring & managing development & testing sandboxes.
- Develops and maintains integrations between Service Now and Smartsheet.
- Understand tools ITIL support framework to ensure strong understanding of processes. At least 3 years direct support of JIRA and at least 7 years as a power user.
- Basic understanding of API standards for communicating and integration between applications.
- Familiarity with the basic Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) framework and its corresponding artifacts.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS This job operates in a professional office environment.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently will sit, stand, walk, and bend during working hours. Requires manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Required to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. as well as requires normal or corrected vision and hearing corrected to a normal range. Ability to work overtime and on nights and weekends, as needed. Requires ability to take part in on-call rotation.
WORK ENVIRONMENT This position operates in an office environment and requires the frequent use of a computer, telephone, copier, and other standard office equipment.
COMPENSATION The salary range listed for this position, $42.85 to $72.27 per hour, is exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses.If hired at ICW Group, your final base salary compensation will be determined by factors such as skills, experience and/or education.In addition, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.We typically do not hire towards the maximum of the range in order to allow for future and continued salary growth.We also offer a substantial benefits package outlined below.
