SUMMARY:

The Human Resource Generalist is part of the AWG Support Center Human Resources team and will play a key role in supporting HR initiatives including employee relations, leaves administration, performance management, talent acquisition, coaching, and employee training. This role reports into our HR Manager. Our ideal candidate will thrive in a fast paced, positive, collaborative, open and honest environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

In this role you will support our AWG Support Center team in the below areas. This is not an inclusive list and may change based on the needs of the organization.

  • Collaborates with team members to communicate and implement HR programs.
  • Plays the lead role in Leaves Administration for the AWG Support Center team. Responsible for tracking and maintaining all appropriate records for leaves of absences and working with employees regarding their leaves situation.
  • Works with assigned client groups and identifies process improvements, makes recommendations, and delivers solutions to support decisions related to talent, employee relations, and employee leaves.
  • Assists employees with benefits questions and partners with our Benefits team to answer questions and resolve concerns.
  • Plays a key role in our summer internship program.
  • Responds to employee relations issues in partnership with our HR Manager.
  • Performs entry of salary and other payroll related changes, including new hires and terminations.
  • Performs entry into our KRONOS timekeeping system and finalizes weekly non-exempt payroll for our AWG Support Center teammates.
  • Supports annual company-wide performance management process (PMP), Talent Planning Process (TPP) and Employee Engagement Survey.
  • Sits on the Employee Committee and works as part of the team to coordinate employee activities and employee communications.
  • Ensures confidentiality on privacy matters and demonstrates good judgment.
  • Works as a key member of the AWG Human Resources team. Actions must always stress a sense of cooperation, integrity, tact and consideration with our members, teammates, and business partners.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field highly desired.
  • Minimum 5 years Human Resources or related experience.
  • Previous Leaves Administration work strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Federal, and State labor laws required.
  • Knowledge of employee benefit programs desired.
  • Working knowledge of HRIS systems. KRONOS and Oracle experience preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Maintain the highest degree of confidentiality and professional discretion.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Must successfully complete and pass a background check and drug screen.
